Beginners Circle Jam #3 

This is our entry for the "Beginners Circle Jam #3" hosted by angrysmile; the theme was A Different Planet and we only had 2 weeks to make it. This is my first game's jam and also the first time I've used Unity; I decided to learn once the games jam started rather than beforehand which made it challenging, but extremely fun and I have learned a lot.

Astro Flux is a 2D top-down adventure game about an astronaut who's daughter goes missing one day when she gets abducted by aliens. You play as the astronaut and must venture through space battling dangerous enemies whilst collecting coins for upgrades that you can get in the planets that you come across. Can you defeat the final boss and save your daughter Lisa?

I finally found the time to play this game. I had fun playing this game it reminded me alot of binding of isaac which is one of my favorite games.
I would liked to have a bit more types upgrades like faster attack rate and maybe different bullet types.
The best part of the Game was the boss fight which reminded me alot of bullet hell games like touhou. Next time try to add a health bar for the bosses so im not lost in the fight. 

overall a good game you guys did well keep up the good work.

Also just found that half the game doesn't scale properly with different resolutions so that's something we will fix in the future

Of course there was a lot of things we wanted to add e.g. a map, a score, procedurally generated rooms, enemy health bars etc. but due to the time constraints and our lack of experience, that stuff will have to wait for future updates. c:
